Cancer is the third leading cause of death in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after cardiovascular diseases and trauma
Recent studies show cancer rates are rising in the UAE. Approximately 4,807 new cancer cases were reported in 2020 in the UAE alone (International Agency for Research on Cancer, WHO)
Research compiled in the Emirates revealed 45.4% of all cancer diagnoses in 2017 – the most recent figures available – were in people aged between 20 and 49, up from 42.3% two years earlier.
The percentage of all cancer cases is significantly higher than in the same age groups in the UK, US, Canada, China and India.

Pantum Detect is a proven, non-invasive pan-tumour blood test that can detect cancer at an early stage, saving lives and resources now and in the future.

A screening program, incorporating the PanTum Detect test and imaging, enables the detection of asymptomatic individuals needing further evaluation who might have otherwise remained undetected.

With just one blood sample, it is possible to confirm cancer suspicion and detect potential tumors in their earliest stages of development.Â

Studies have shown that it can detect solid tumours anywhere in the body with a sensitivity of 95.21% (true positives) and can rule out healthy individuals with 99.53% specificity (true negatives): the first to achieve this high level of accuracy for multiple cancers.
